Probably
the best choice of adventure activity you could make !
But, you may ask: "Why? What's in it for me? What am I going
to get out of it?"
The answer
is simple: any couch-potato can be a spectator in someone else's
adventure, but to actually take part in something as thrilling as
this requires something more.This workshop is the ultimate
hands-on adventure; To be able to master Fire,
and its attendant dangers, calls on something more, something
primal within us all:- something that goes
right back to before we were human !

Everyone
who has done this workshop agrees that it brings out potentials and
capabilities that they didn't know they had. The resultant atmosphere
on the day is truly magnificent ! !
Of course,there
are those who say: "I'm not interested in all that circus stuff.
I prefer Coronation St. I'm way too sophisticated to watch fire-eating,
and isn't that sort of thing for kids, anyway.., so no thank-you."
Sad, eh? One
of the biggest barriers to personal growth is the attitude of contempt
prior to investigation, the hallmark of the closed mind ! Perhaps
this is one of those events that you only judge by taking part in
it for yourself.After all, anyone can talk
the talk, but wouldn't you rather walk the walk ?

TEAM
BUILDING !
THERE
ARE NO SPECTATORS ON THIS EVENT : Each
participant, whether nervous or just downright terrified, takes
part throughout the day, and succeeds in spite of the very real
fear that fire rightly engenders. Age is no barrier; the youngest
so far being 14 and the oldest in their 80's. Doctors, fire-men,
bankers, dancers, secretaries, rich, poor, north, south, etc., etc.,
etc.In order to get optimal results, each menber of the workshop
has to work very closely with the other members. The team-spirit
thus achieved is superb, each person performing
at a higher level than they would otherwise do on their own.Even
people who didn't really want to do it finish the day feeling good,
with a whole bevy of exciting photos and memories, not to mention
a host of new friends! A tremendous boost to your self-esteem as
an individual and as a member of an Extraordinary event.

The day consists
of a couple of hours of intense physical and psychological preparation,
followed by the blazing inferno itself. Dante eat your heart out!
We work as a group, so no-one feels excluded. We do it this way because,
for obvious reasons, safety is of paramount importance, and we have
had no injuries due to burning (just the odd bruise, etc.!) We look
after each other, and Bob looks after you all! The dangerous nature
of the workshop means that for safety reasons, the group has to become
an efficient team in order to achieve the results we aim for, without
any individuals becoming harmed. We are pleased to say that in nearly
10,000 members who have attended the workshop, the worst injury
sustained so far is a broken nose. Ouch ! It is this team building
component to the day that could interest employers.If your workforce
can all help each other to learn fire eating, then who knows what
they can achieve, if they put their minds to it ! |
| We hope the
images on the web-sites will be of sufficient power to show you some
of our achievements, in particular the team photos, each member of
which was a beginner at the start of the day. Members find it a useful
skill to impress their family, friends, etc., at parties, barbecues,
and gatherings. |

The ancients
believed in four elements: fire, air, water, and earth. Fire was said
to represent the explosive power of creativity.
If you feel a little flat or dull, this workshop, could be just the
boost you need , and is guaranteed to put a spring into your step,
and some flare into your life. We have chosen the symbol of the Firebird
to signify symbolically the potential of each one of us to let our
dreams take flight. According to ancient Egyptian mythology we are
now entering the Age of the Firehawk, the Sun-god Horus. There are
many other examples in mythology connecting birds of fire and the
accompanying symbols of creativity and new beginnings. |

turn of the Millenium was a great milestone for everybody and more
and more people are today looking for lifestyles that enable them
to grow as people. The philosophy of Team Firebird has always been
one of growth offering people the opportunity to realise some of their
wildest dreams, and to gain strength from the doing of it.

effective in showing new members exactly what they are capable of
if they put their minds to it. Discover that your Self-limitations
are usually quite arbitrary, put there for you in your upbringing
by other people, and long past their sell-by date now you are adult.
