Bob's testimonials and feedback from clients.
  The actual event surpassed all my expectations! It was such fun, I was confronting the fear – but it didn’t actually feel frightening, because Bob’s management of the whole day meant that I felt very safe and enthusiastic to take on the challenge. He clearly is a world expert both on fire eating and on managing any anxieties of the participants. I know from other participants who I have since met at other Spice events that they felt the same way – the buzz that we all went away with stayed with us for days, even weeks, after! Looking at the photos now, I can’t really believe that I did this – but we were so well trained for it – both in terms of safety and in terms of feeling very brave – that it felt very straightforward and we couldn’t wait to get stuck in!I know that a lot of the day’s success is down to Bob – he made us laugh, he made us brave and he helped us have a good time! Can’t he do other events for Spice? I think that all the people who did this one would sign up for any other event that he ran! Was it value for money? It so much was! I have already recommended it to both Spice members and to non-members who I think should join just to do this! I know that there were several people at the event who had joined specifically to do this – and they were so right!Believe me, I can be critical when needs must – but I can’t think of a downside to this – it makes me smile just to remember the day!  
  Fire eating was excellent, great day out, only real improvement is to maybe say in the write up that the fire brands are for sale at the end of the event !  
  Yes, the event was fantastic. Bob is a born entertainer and managed to bring everyone out of themselves to perform quite a daunting activity!  

This is the best event I’ve been on so far. I booked it after hearing good reviews from others and they weren’t exaggerating. I had fun from start to finish and was on a high for days afterwards. The mornings trust-building exercises were as entertaining as the fire eating, the lunch was lovely and I felt very safe in expert hands. The look on my friend’s faces when I turned up for work the next day with the photo’s was priceless. I recommend anyone thinking about this event to just do it, it’s an experience never to be forgotten.

  

i'd love to let you know what i thought about the event, in fact, i've already emailed bob directly to thank him.bob was a fantastic instructor, he made the whole day fun, exciting, and of course safe. the original write up doesn't do it justice, i cant explain the feeling when i blow out a large flame, how exhilerating it is.since the event, i've already performed 4 times, and am out again on thursday evening. i wonder how many spicers go on the course, but then never do it again.as for value for money, yes, it was very good value, and i'd recomend it to anyone, but improving it, i dont think you could, bob just makes the day.thank you very much, i couldn't have asked for a better event to be my first spice event.

  
  Did the event write up match the event? totally brilliant, expertly delivered, great fun, entertaining and I felt safe at all times with fire all over the place!!!  
  How was the co-ordinator/supplier on the event? Fantastic, friendly, funny but still extremely professional  
  Did you enjoy the event as a whole? Loved it!  
  Was the event value for money? Brilliant. This was the best value event and best delivered event I have ever been on.  
  Would you recommend this event to others? Absolutely - fantastic for confidence building and the sense of achievement you get from it is second to none  
  How could we improve this event for next time? no improvements necessary - could maybe have refresher events - I know I can do it but I am still a bit nervous so maybe an event for those that have done it once and want a day 'playing' but knowing the support is there if you need it  
 

I have a cupboard full of letters, photos, cards, and other memorabilia from people who have successfully completed this workshop, and are very happy to say so ! Modesty, and space have prevented me from posting all of them: the point is: people really do enjoy the day, and have no bashfullness in saying so ! !

  I would like to take the opportunity to thank you again for a superb workshop. It was my first SPICE event, and what an introduction it was. I was very impressed with the layout of the day which initially quelled our fears, built team spirit and then led us into the unthinkable. Your leadership was very reassuring and at no point did I feel in danger - though was always fully aware of any risks.Thank you for an amazing experience and a skill that I hope I will have (and use) forever.

I just wanted to write to say thanks for a fantastic day last weekend at the fire eating workshop in Birmingham .To come away with the capability of fire eating and breathing is something that not only really surprised me, but something that I have already shown off half a dozen times during this week, improving all the time. I have been asked a couple of times if I come away with a certificate, to which I just reply that surely still having my eyebrows is certificate enough, although I dont think I'll ever have hairs on my arm again! I had to laugh yesterday when i was practising, almost to the point of swallowing a mouthfull of white spirit. I was practising by my caravan, a group of kids watching and loving it, when a woman walked past and said "I hope your aftershave is fire proof". The mind boggles. Anyway, once again, many thanks for such an exhillerating day.

Bob, glad to hear the fire-breathing is still going strong and you're not yet out of puff. I have fond memories of an initially cold but later much warmer(!) day with you at a sports centre somewhere near Nottingham. Thanks Bob, this new site of yours looks really good. It was great to see the Stonehenge footage again, Both me and my lad were really pleased to see me singing my chin yet again! It brought back great memories of the day. I’m no longer with Spice, and do sometimes miss the really quite crackers stuff that mob get up tp. My favourites were your own workshop, and the walking on hot coals in Nottingham. I hope life’s treating you very well and that you’re happy.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance and please could you let me know if/when an opportunity of fire eating arises like for charity or a challenge or a show or something, that would be great. Bob, Nice to hear from you. We still tell all our friends of the fantastic day we had with you. My Husband Chris still doesn't pass up a chance to have a quick Fire-Eat of Fire-Blow whenever he can, if spectators watch - all the better. My work (MIRA Ltd) have a Fireworks Party each year and we even be brave enough to do a little fire eating in front of a proper audience !! Thanks again for a fab day (last year now, how time flies !!) Keep well.
