Hi there, I'm back! I left that last post up for over a year so that the Chinese "smokescreen" of the Olympic Extravaganza could be given time to fade a little in peoples memories. Though I congratulate our Olympians for bringing Honour to our Nation, (I even lucky enough to meet a couple of them on the Paul O'Grady show last year!) it doesn't alter the fact that the Games were staged by a Nation with blood on its hands.The simple fact is that the Chinese Army under the orders of their Government, have murdered so many Tibetan men and women that the word GENOCIDE is perfectly appropriate. But, I believe that the Tibetan People will nonetheless, in time, triumph- without ANY violence whatsoever, and that is because they are decent and kind and tough and hard working and simply the most Compassionate people I have ever met!! I have been fortunate enough to have many Tibetan friends over the past quarter century, and I look forward to meeting many more. The tireless efforts of His Holiness The XIV Dalai Lama, and his fellow Tibetans in exile, to keep the culture of Tibet alive and thriving, means that they have built a vibrant and popular community in McLeod Ganj, HP, N.India where many Westerners have had the privelege of sharing their Wisdom. Long Live Tibet!! Long Live the Dalai Lama, and God Bless both Tibet, and their Friends, the Indian People whom I also love!!

Now, what's on for Fire Eating? The workshops, after a three year absence from SPICE caused by Insurance problems arising from the Hostile climate in the insurance markets, (caused by the outbreak of wars with Afghganistan and Iraq,) we are BACK and with a vengeance!!! The last one, in May, was in Thames Valley and was a joint collaboration with SPICE London. It went with a bang - and everyone had a great time. Thank you SPICE!

I'm currently editing the footage from 4 workshops for the DVDs ordered by members: It can be a time consuming process especially on my PC! The only other computer slower than mine was a bunch of wooden beads on a frame and was called an abacus!! So, patience please folks, I always deliver!!

 

Lastly, the new Star Trek film is a great big wonderful Monster of a movie, full of good humour, a geat story, and fabulous special effects and acting. If you have'nt seen it, you really must. I was a little unwell when I saw it, but enjoyed it nonetheless. My fondest thanks to my friend Ian, who treated me to the show on the IMAX screen in the Printworks, Manchester as a late 50 birthday present!! I'm also grateful to him for helping me back to the car!! Bloody hell, I'm getting old!! Recovered now mind, so NO SKIVING!!
