"Menu" button at the upper left of the Player window will open
a menu of

* Change Playback Mode ->
Compact Mode and Fullscreen Mode

any
resizing of the window will be constrained to that aspect ratio. Selecting
the Free option allows the user to click and drag the bottom right hand
corner of the Player and resize the window free of any aspect ratio
constraints.
