  DivX is a way of compressing video files with the *.avi file extension so that reasonable picture quality can be maintained for a smaller file size.The DivX format is popular for Internet video downloads. The DivX bundle also includes a nifty little player for all your DivX videos !

Click on the DivX Download Now button.
                     
 
2)
 Click "Download Now" on the CNET webpage: the file is not large&
the link is good, making it quick and easy to download.		                            
                               
 
3)
 Double click DivXInstaller.exe saying yes to the required options.This executable
installs the DivX 6.43 codec and "The DivX Player"application pictured above.		                            
                               
 
4)
 Double click "The DivX Player" application from the Desktop shortcut and use the open button to open Windows Explorer to locate and play my fantastic video clips! If the Player tries to log on to the internet, just cancel it, left click the top left corner of the player, select "Tools, Preferences" from the drop down menu, goto the "General" tab and deselect the boxes for checking for newer versions/splash screen. On the Video tab, set the quality control as high as your PC can manage, which on newer machines is right up!
